About me and my therapy practice
Hello and a warm welcome. My name is Lucy and I am a Person Centered Counsellor with a background of working with adults, children, young people and families who have experienced trauma and abuse.
Sometimes it’s hard to find the words to describe how you are feeling inside, I am able to connect through the power of creativity to support clients to express themselves. I use mindfulness, creative visualisations, sand-tray exploration, play, natural resources and many more to enhance the counselling process and so that you feel validated and heard.
The Person-Centered Approach has become my way of being; I am authentic, transparent, non-judgemental and compassionate. This together with an environment that is safe, empathic, empowering and respectful, it’s my hope that we can build a trusting therapeutic relationship for you to find peace, value and joy in your life.
Practice descriptionI offer you empathic and compassionate acknowledgement of your lived experience without judgement and with unconditional positive regard. Counselling is an organic and creative process which is informed by you and what is brought into the therapy room. It is a gradual movement towards a free flowing and genuine openness; always working in a way that feels comfortable for you.

Deciding to see a counsellor is a big step and it’s important to me that you feel comfortable in working with me. Therefore I offer a free of charge initial assessment to get to know each other and answer any questions you may have.
