About me and my therapy practice

I know that choosing the right counsellor can feel like a big step, and I want you to know that I’m here to make that journey easier for you. As a fully qualified and experienced counsellor and supervisor, my goal is to offer a warm, welcoming, and safe space where you can feel heard, supported, and understood.

I work with both individuals and couples, helping you navigate life's challenges, whether you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, grief, stress, relationship issues, or a lack of self-confidence. For individuals, I offer a compassionate environment to explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace. For couples, I provide a safe space to work through communication struggles, trust issues, or emotional disconnection, helping you to rebuild your connection and strengthen your relationship.

I believe that therapy is a journey of self-discovery and healing, and I am committed to walking alongside you through each step of that process. Couples Counselling – Imago Relationship Therapy

As a certified Imago Relationship Therapist, I specialize in helping couples transform their relationships by fostering deeper connection, communication, and understanding. Imago therapy is grounded in the belief that our closest relationships are opportunities for healing and growth. Through this approach, couples can gain insight into the unconscious patterns that influence their interactions, helping them break cycles of conflict and build stronger, more compassionate bonds.

In our sessions, I will guide you and your partner through safe, structured conversations that promote empathy, active listening, and mutual respect. My first session

What to Expect in Our First Initial Session

I understand that taking the first step toward counselling can feel daunting, and I want to make this process as gentle and comfortable as possible for you. Once you’ve decided to schedule your initial session, I will send you clear instructions and directions to ensure you can easily find me and feel at ease before we meet.

Our first session is an important opportunity for us to connect, and for you to get a sense of whether you feel comfortable speaking with me. Building a trusting, open, and supportive relationship is essential in therapy, and I want you to feel completely free to express yourself—whether you’re sharing your thoughts, feelings, concerns, or even uncertainties—without fear of judgment. This space is yours to explore, and my goal is to ensure you feel heard, accepted, and truly understood.

There is absolutely no pressure to continue working together after our first meeting. The choice is entirely yours, and I want you to feel confident in your decision. It’s important that you feel comfortable and empowered in whatever direction you choose to take.

If you do decide to continue, I typically suggest beginning with an initial block of 6 sessions. This gives us a chance to commit to the process, while still offering enough flexibility to adjust as needed. After our 6th session, we’ll take time to reflect on your progress and see if you feel like you’ve explored everything you need. Together, we’ll decide whether to continue or if we’ve reached a point where you’re ready to move forward on your own.
