Hello, and welcome to my profile. I am a humanistic integrative counsellor.
I hold online/telephone sessions and recommence in person sessions in September 2022.
Happy to consider home visits within 3 miles of BS4 for those with restricted mobility.
Currently, most of my availability is on Mondays and Thursdays during the day. My latest appointments begin at 6 PM. I do not work on weekends.
However, my availability is flexible, so please feel free message me to see if we can fit you in according to your needs.
About me and my therapy practice
Are you feeling overwhelmed, afraid, anxious, stuck or unheard? Counselling can help us to deal with experiences such as difficult family relationships or friendships, trauma, bereavement, and long term illness, and to process emotions such as anxiety, stress, fear, anger and guilt. I work in a non-judgmental way and provide support for a range of situations and mental health issues. If integrative counselling suits you, I can help you with anxiety, low self-esteem, understanding family relationships, depression, abuse, suicidal thoughts, bereavement, carers' issues, catfishing & long-term illness.
I am a friendly integrative counsellor. I offer a conversational approach with a practice rooted in relational, person-centred, and psychodynamic theories. Registered with the BACP and the NCS, I work in a non-judgmental way and provide support for a range of situations and mental health issues. I work online and over the telephone and return to in person work from September 2022.
If you are puzzled by your feelings or other people's behaviour, or if you are struggling with an issue or a mental or physical health condition, counselling can help to calm and regulate the nervous system and reduce stress and anxiety. I have experience as a nurse and of working with people from all walks of life.
Take a look at my website for more information:
I offer an initial free 15 minute telephone consultation so that we can have an informal chat, which helps us to decide if working together feels comfortable. After the introductory consultation, I work using either online using a VSee clinic (no downloads necessary) or telephone counselling. I will recommence in person counselling in September 2022.
If you agree to continue with full sessions, I send you my contract setting out the terms of the service I provide and asking for basic personal information and an emergency contact. This is for you to read through and sign if you wish to book full sessions. You are free to ask me any questions prior to signing, as the contract can potentially be adapted to your individual situation.
We then book either a regular therapy slot or, whenever possible, book slots session by session around your fluctuating availability.
Sessions cost £50 in person and £45 online or over the phone for those in work. My concession price is £40 per session for those who are students or in receipt of benefits or pensions.
My first session
My first full counselling session begins with a short assessment to find out a little about your general wellbeing and the issues you would like to bring to counselling.
After this, we explore in more detail what you are hoping to address in counselling sessions, what outcomes you are hoping for, and any concerns you might have.
