About me and my therapy practice

Perhaps you are feeling depressed, anxious, or stuck. Together, we can talk through how things are for you in life, relationships, work and health. I provide a calm counselling environment for you to talk through your issues at your own pace.

I offer conversational, trauma-informed talking therapy. If integrative counselling suits you, I can help you with anxiety, low self-esteem, relationships, family issues including estrangement, depression, long term health conditions (in particular ME/CFS), menopause, work issues, bereavement, carers' issues, and distress caused by online romance scams.

If you are wondering where to start, we can work on helping you to get in touch with how you feel, to increase your self-esteem, to learn to be kind to yourself, and to feel more confident in who you are.

If you are struggling with worries or a mental or physical health condition, counselling can help to calm and regulate the nervous system and reduce stress and anxiety. I have experience as a nurse, working with people from all walks of life.

Take a look at my website for more detailed information.

Practice description

I offer an initial free 15 minute informal telephone consultation, which helps us to decide if working together feels comfortable.

If you agree to continue with full sessions, I send you my contract that sets out the terms of the service I provide. I ask for basic personal information and an emergency contact. You are free to ask me any questions prior to signing, as the contract can potentially be adapted to your individual situation. The contract does not tie you in to sessions. You can begin and end counselling when it feels right for you.

I work in person, online and via telephone, and we can switch between different types of sessions if necessary.

We then book either a regular therapy slot or, if that is not possible, we book slots session by session around your fluctuating availability.

Sessions cost £50 in person and £45 online or telephone.

My first session

My first full counselling session begins with a short assessment to establish your general wellbeing and the issues you would like to bring to counselling.

After this, we explore in more detail what you are hoping to address in counselling sessions, what outcomes you are hoping for, and any questions you might have.
