I currently have availability for individual or couple counselling, online or face to face sessions.   

I work from 9.30am and can arrange evening work where required.  I work Monday - Friday.

About me and my therapy practice

If you're looking for therapy you're looking for an opportunity to work out how to deal with thoughts and feelings and to make a positive change in your life and relationships.

As a counsellor with experience of working with addiction, relationships, trauma, abuse, anxiety and depression I can help you move towards finding a fresh perspective and a deeper understanding of the emotions and situations which are causing distress in your life.

I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), and a Relate-trained Couple and Family Therapist. I attend regular clinical supervision and continue to develop the training and skills which form my Continuing Professional development, as required by the BACP.

Practice description

I have 20 years' experience of working as a counsellor,  I am qualified in Person Centred Therapy, Narrative Therapy and  Relationship Therapy.  I have also worked with Emotionally Focused Therapy and Brief Intervention Therapy.

 I draw on all my experience and training in my work and, as every situation and person is unique, I will aim to provide the optimum therapeutic conditions in each situation, whatever you bring to counselling.

I work face to face, online and via telephone.  I am happy to work with individuals, couples or families.  I have training and experience in all these areas.

My first session

Our first session is an opportunity to meet one another, to explore expectations and complete an assessment to help me understand your needs.  It is also an opportunity for you to meet me to be sure that I am the right counsellor for you. 

I would hope that by the end of our first session you will feel I have listened to you with understanding and empathy and that we have begun the process of building a therapeutic relationship.
