About me and my therapy practice

Thank you for reading my page.

Originally, I trained in the Person-Centred approach and continued my professional development at the university of Chester.  I am an accredited member of the British Association for counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).  I have 20 years experience as a Counsellor within various settings.  One of my main interests was working with clients affected by substance use.

In addition to offering Person Centred therapy, I incorporate other modalities such as Transactional Analysis (TA), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), mindfulness and enjoy working creatively.

For the last 14 years I have been working within secondary educational settings and have developed therapeutic services which offers one to one and group support for students aged 11-18 years.

Before training to be a Counsellor, I worked as part of the voluntary sector and spent several years developing and delivering training programmes focused on emotional wellbeing.  Furthermore, I worked in a variety of settings across the social care sector, offering various issue-based programmes.

Practice description

My practice is on Rodney street, Liverpool city centre where I work with both adult clients , as well as adolescents.
