About me and my therapy practice
Counselling provides an opportunity to talk in complete confidence to a qualified professional who knows how to listen and is not involved in your outside life. Talking about things that are troubling you is a way of making sense of life’s difficulties. My work is psychodynamic which means that I base my approach on the acceptance that we are all products of our previous life experiences and that these can affect us in ways we may not be aware of.
A trusting and robust relationship between you and your counsellor allows you to say whatever is on your mind and in this way an understanding can emerge of the feelings and patterns of behaviour which may be troubling you.
This process leads to greater freedom in your life and relationships and allows you to make better use of your inner resources.
Both time-limited and open-ended counselling is available.
