Therapist - Okehampton

Okehampton EX20
Sessions from £50.00

  • Wheelchair accessible office
  • Available for home visits

Sessions are currently available in Okehampton on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

I mostly work from my own home where I have a dedicated private counselling room. A friendly small dog and 2 cats also live here. There is one step to access the property and parking on the drive.

I also use the Okement Centre in Okehampton if you need a space that is fully wheelchair accessible or prefer to meet in a more neutral location.

About me and my therapy practice

I am an integrative counsellor working one to one with adults aged 18+. Integrative means I am trained in a number of counselling methods and can use an approach that is most suited to you.

The most important factor with counselling and psychotherapy is that you get on with your therapist so we can build an effective  therapeutic relationship . You are always in control of each session and what we cover.

Sometimes talking is difficult or just isn't enough. I can offer creative approaches such as using imagery, drawing or sand play to help you explore the issue you bring.

I work with a wide range of issues, including bereavement, health concerns, anxiety, depression and relationship difficulties. Sometimes it might be more of a sense of feeling stuck but not knowing quite why.

I am a diversity-friendly therapist.

Practice description

Integrative counsellor with core training in Person-centred, Gestalt, Transpersonal and cognitive behavioural therapies (CBT) and additional psychotherapeutic training.

My first session

You first session will follow a phone call where we can begin to get to know each other and you can decide whether you wish to book a session with me.

At this first session we will explore what it is you want to bring to counselling, what you hope to get out of it, and make sure that we can work safely together. I aim to ensure you feel comfortable and safe and we will work at a pace that suits you.
