Therapist - Surbiton

Surbiton KT6
Sessions from £60.00

About me and my therapy practice

Firstly, hello, my name is Suzi.

As a therapist, my top priority is offering a safe space for you to be seen and heard.

I believe therapy is a collaborative process. There is usually a reason to seek therapy, and that is our starting point. My role is to help you explore how your past may be impacting your present-day life, and to look forward in how we can make more purposeful and meaningful choices.

I work in a trauma-informed way, which means that I work with an awareness of potential or actual trauma in a client's past, but understand that this does not necessarily need to be the focus of your therapy.

Clients come to me for many reasons, including having experienced trauma, major life changes, relationship difficulties, work-related issues, low mood or feelings that life has lost meaning and purpose.

Due to my own background, I often see young professionals and individuals managing long term health conditions, in particular type one diabetes.

Practice description

I am an integrative psychotherapist with an interest and experience in trauma, relational issues, anxiety and the effects of long-term illnesses.

I conducted my training in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy at London’s Regents University, I am accredited with the UKCP and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). This means I abide by their code of ethics.

My experience ranges from working as a psychotherapist within the NHS, a university, and the charity sector. Speaking with individuals who are struggling with past trauma, relationship issues, depression, and anxiety.

I run a private practice based in Surbiton that offers psychotherapy and counselling to individuals seeking help through online sessions (Zoom) or face to face.

Prior to my psychotherapeutic training and qualifications, I worked in the journalism industry, therefore I empathise and have an understanding of the busy, competitive and demanding nature the media world entails.
