About me and my therapy practice
I am a Psychodynamic Psychotherapist qualified by the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust, currently undertaking the fifth year of Interdisciplinary Training in Adult Psychotherapy at the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust, which is one of the most advanced psychoanalytic psychotherapy trainings in the UK. I have trained as Psychologist and Psychotherapist at PUC-SP (Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo) and hold a Masters degree in Psychoanalytic Studies from the Tavistock Centre.
I have been working with children, adolescents, adults, and families in different settings throughout the past ten years. I currently see patients for psychotherapy privately, in the NHS and at LAWRS (Latin American Women's Rights Service).
Psychotherapy offers a safe space in which the individual can explore problems, feelings and thoughts and gain a deeper insight into the difficulties that might have brought them to look for support. Anyone who has some strengths and potential for change can benefit from psychotherapy, regardless how difficult things are at the time of the initial consultation.
Psychotherapy should help you become aware of hidden meanings or patterns that may be contributing to your problems. The aim is to improve mental and emotional wellbeing by bringing about awareness and change.
