About me and my therapy practice

I trained as an integrative psychotherapist. My work is mostly orientated towards the Humanistic view, but I integrated psychodynamics practices when looking at family history.

My first session

I encourage a new client to have a brief chat with me on the phone. This helps us both understand if there is a common ground and if it's appropriate to book a session. The first meeting is a "get to know you" session where I ask a few questions on the family and culture of origin. The second half of the session the new client is encouraged to describe what brought them to therapy. I am keenly aware that speaking to a stranger can be unsettling, so I am mindful that its best to take things slow.
