About me and my therapy practice
I am a counsellor, psychosexual therapist and couple counsellor, with 18 years experience in the NHS and private practice. I welcome working with a diverse complexity of life challenges.
The core model I use for individual counselling is person-centred, which demands that as counsellors we are able to create the kind of relationship in which clients feel safe enough to take the risks involved in change. I aim to offer a safe space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings without fear of judgement.
My psychosexual therapy practice is a more collaborative approach to therapy using acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), which helps us to understand how your thoughts and feelings affect your behaviour. Sex therapy is for individuals and couples. Talking with your therapist about your sexual experiences helps us to discover what might be getting in the way of expressing sexuality, developing intimacy and finding sexual fulfilment whatever that might be.
