About me and my therapy practice

Hello, my name is Jason and I work as a BACP Registered Counsellor and Psychotherapist.

I’ve worked within private practice for over a decade, working with a diverse range of clients, ages, mental & physical health challenges and psychological presentations.

I’ve also worked for ChildLine, Barnardo’s, CRI a national charity affiliated with the Adult Criminal justice System (drugs, alcohol and substance misuse) and within Schools (Primary and Secondary) providing therapeutic support and counselling services and also in delivering training regarding self-harm, suicide and supportive interventions.

I offer short and long-term private and confidential sessions facilitated within a therapeutic framework that is humanistic (You-Centred) and Integrative (using a wide range of therapeutic approaches). I work face-to-face from Home, ‘Walking & Talking’ outside and also through Embodied Nature Therapy amongst outdoor natural environments, email, telephone and on-line.

Working collaboratively, at your pace, we safely explore and talk about what’s happening in your life, the challenges experienced, what you seek from therapy and life, any changes you might want to make that could improve the quality of your life and what might need to happen for you to feel more empowered to achieve these. We also introduce ways that support and promote your ongoing mental health, well-being and relationship with life, self and others.

Please email me and from there we can arrange either a brief telephone conversation and/or arrange a first session. Each session lasts 60 minutes. Sometimes it can be difficult to know where to start, especially with a person you’ve not met before. This is completely understandable, entering into therapy takes courage, not only to hear the whisper from deep within, but also to recognise that it may need some support and cultivation from without.
