About me and my therapy practice
I am particularly passionate about working with women to help them thrive.
Let me ask you something. Do you find it difficult to say no to people? Maybe you put other people's needs above your own? Do you find it hard to say how you really feel or to ask for what you need? Maybe being nice all the time and avoiding upsetting anyone could be starting to take it’s toll, especially when you already feel stressed or overwhelmed by the many roles and relationships in your life.
I wonder what life would look like if you felt calmer and more confident in yourself? How would it change your personal relationships and your life in general? What would it feel like to be able to voice what it is you actually want?
As your counsellor, I can work with you to help you achieve these things and more so that you can develop a deep and honest relationship with yourself and gain a greater understanding of your inner world by helping you to see things more clearly.
Maybe you’ve been feeling anxious lately, or sad, lonely or simply just stuck? Maybe you’re not even sure what it is you’re feeling? All you know is that something in your life isn’t quite right and your’e ready to make a change.
Reaching out to a counsellor can be a big step, however, I can assure you that we will work together at your pace and you will feel truly heard, valued and understood.
I run my private practice from my home in Tonbridge and provide a comfortable space where we can work together.
Counselling sessions are 50 minutes in length and are held at the same time and day each week in term-time.
My first session
On first contact I usually suggest booking an assessment session for us to meet in person if possible, or online if not.
In the assessment session we can discuss your needs and goals of therapy and I can answer any questions you may have. This is a chance for you to decide if I am the right fit for you and for me to assess if I can help you. The counselling relationship is key, so it's really important that you feel comfortable working with me for counselling to be effective.
Should you decide to have counselling sessions going forward, we can choose a mutual day and time to meet each week in term-time. You can set a number of counselling sessions initially or choose to have an open number of sessions with regular reviews.
