About me and my therapy practice
I work with the Person-Centred approach, which enables you to work at your own pace and to bring whatever you need to explore to each session. I can offer a safe, confidential space to talk and work out the best way forward to suit you as a unique individual. It can be helpful to have someone to talk to outside your usual circle of family and friends, as you can speak freely without needing to worry about their reactions. This can be an invaluable way to get clarity and perspective for yourself. If this feels like something that you would find helpful, do get in touch.
My first session
In a first session, I will take contact details, history and go over my privacy policy, counselling agreement and confidentiality protocols. We then have plenty of time to discuss what is bringing you for therapy, your needs, goals and expectations. This session gives us the opportunity to meet and ensure that we are a good fit to work together to achieve your therapy goals and to answer any questions you may have.
