About me and my therapy practice
I’m an integrative counsellor, and our relationship will be the biggest asset in working for change. It provides a space for you to know that your feelings and needs are accepted, which is often the first step to being able to explore them in depth. Understanding why we feel and act the way we do can help gain the clarity you need to make decisions on how to implement change.
I do also draw upon other models as and when they feel appropriate. The models that I use are Attachment Theory, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic and Solution Focused.
I work with children, young people and of adults on a range of issues.
I am a keen advocate for the men accessing counselling and having safe spaces to talk.
I also have experience of working with people from Black and Minority Ethnic communities.
I have experience working with and supporting the lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans and queer community.
I specialise in anxiety, stress, low self esteem, anger management, issues of loneliness, identity, family and personal relationships.
I am based in South East London and online.
I can offer affordable short and long term counselling in an environment that is safe, confidential, non-judgemental. A place where you can talk, be heard and to understand your emotions.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, I am working exclusively online via Zoom, a secure end-to-end encrypted video call platform and by telephone. The health and safety of my clients is imperative. I will return to face-to-face work as soon as it is practicable, alongside my online practice.
My first session
I offer a free initial 30 session prior to your first session. This will allow the opportunity to discuss your need for counselling, goals and answer any questions you have about the process of therapy. If you feel you want to go ahead then we would arrange a regular time to meet.
There is no obligation after our initial session to go ahead with counselling, some people may change their mind or feel that therapy is not for them and that is fine. In order for counselling to be successful, you have to be ready and willing to fully engage in the process.
