About me and my therapy practice

Welcome and thanks for looking. I am a qualified and experienced psychotherapeutic counsellor. I can help you with things such as anxiety, relationship issues, low mood, abuse, addictions, loss, life purpose, depression, young adult issues (18-25) and many other issues that may trouble you. I currently work partly for the NHS and in private practice.

The length of therapy can vary depending on what you would like to talk about and your personal circumstances. It is your decision to decide when to finish. I am experienced in working with both short term 4-12 sessions or more long term and open ended. The choice is entirely up to you.

While great changes can occur in a relatively short space of time it is good to allow enough space relative to the significance of your issue. The counselling will be confidential and I aim to create a warm, welcoming and restorative space.

I work from a Humanistic perspective meaning that I believe everyone deserves respect, everyone is an individual and that their experience is the most important aspect, therefore I believe the client has the answer and I am but a guide in helping them find their answers or acceptance.

I believe it is important that we work together to tune into what has brought you to counselling and what you would like out of it. I believe a combination of being given a positive relationship and the possibility to explore new ways of experiencing can lead to healing and change.
