I have a special interest in supporting people of all ages with loss and bereavement. Grief is painful and it is confusing, there are stages but usually it is with us all of the time. I can be alongside you in this process, with a warm and empathic approach to help you to heal so you can continue with your life whilst you remember and cherish your loved one.
I see Couples, Individuals and Parents at my private practice in Gloucestershire and Devon. This also includes an online and phone service. I offer therapeutic counselling and psychotherapy to help my clients overcome difficult situations and deal with feelings that are hard to process or face. My client centered approach enables people to regain their sense of identity and self-worth that very often is the key to unlocking personal growth, fulfilment, and more fulfilling relationships.
Individuals and Couples - My approach
We all have a life plan that is written in our early lives which can get outdated, leading to unhelpful thoughts feelings and behaviour - or feelings of being lost, confused angry or scared. The threads that are holding us back can cause repeated problems in our relationships or lead to anxieties that are not readily understood. Through learning to accept the full range of feelings I can help you to understand yourself better, improve decision making, update your life plan and make those changes so that you can start to live an authentic life, feel whole, and become your true self!
Couples counselling focuses on the relationship as the 'client'. We will work together to improve your relationship as the third entity, to restore the trust and create a secure safe base so you can achieve balance and clarity that may have been lost leaving you both feeling disillusioned, insecure and unhappy.
My first session
Once I have received your initial enquiry, I will offer you a free call to discuss your request for counselling in more detail . This helps us to find out if we are a good fit and if our session times are compatible etc.
Then you will have an initial session either face to face or online via skype/zoom or facetime/whatsapp. This will be £25 for 50 minutes.
If we are both happy then we will set up our first session.
