About me and my therapy practice

Counselling is a safe place for you to explore the parts of your life you may be having difficulty with. It is my goal to offer you the right conditions so that we can walk this road together. It is my belief that the most important part of having therapy is being able to build a trusted relationship. Once the relationship has been formed, we can navigate the parts of your life you are having difficulty with. I believe it is important to always go at your own pace.

I worked in a drugs and alcohol service and what I found was that with many of my clients, with addiction issues they had underlying trauma experiences, which then led to the addiction. This started my interest in trauma work. I then went on to work with the parents and guardians of sexually abused children.

I am qualified as a psychotherapeutic counsellor, psychotherapist and EMDR therapist. I am currently in doctoral training as a trainee counselling psychologist and have a master's degree in psychology.

My specialties lie in childhood sexual abuse, domestic violence, rape, sexual violence, and addiction. This does not limit me to just working with these issues however as I have worked with many different presenting problems. I am based in Eltham but do the majority of my work online. Contact me to arrange an initial consultation to see if I would be the correct fit for you.

About me and my therapy practice

I offer trauma-informed supervision for trauma specialist therapists. I work predominantly with the three-staged trauma model. Stage 1 Education, Stabilisation & Safety. Stage 2 Processing, Remembering & Mourning. Stage 3 Meaning, Reconnection & integration.

I believe that the three key areas in clinical supervision are education, support, and accountability.  I work in an integrated way but I work predominantly relationally.
