About me and my therapy practice
I provide a safe and confidential space to explore feelings, thoughts and behaviour. I am particularly interested in the person's true nature and full potential. By engaging in a non-judgemental environment and a supportive relationship, I seek to help you to gain a better understanding of you, and explore better choices for yourself.
I am a qualified Person-Centred Counsellor and Psychotherapist, and a registered member with British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP). My work in counselling is to ensure that I provide a safe, non-judgemental space for my clients to talk through and explore their problems. I work in a non-directive way, which means that my client is at the centre of the therapy and is free to explore their thoughts and feelings, with me supporting them along the way.
My work includes one to one therapy, dealing with a broad range of issues that clients may present. Working together we can identify your sense of negative thinking and feelings, bringing clarity to a confused and distressing way of being and allow for space to feel less overwhelmed by our problems.
As a registered member with the BACP it is important that I attend regular Supervision, which is an essential part of working as a Counsellor & Psychotherapist and underpins my work to ensure that I work safely, effectively and ethically. All client work discussed in supervision will also adhere to the BACP Ethical Framework for Counselling professions and is subject to the Confidential agreement which is consistent with my clients.
Counselling is a space to talk, think and be listened to in confidence with a professional who will respect you and the difficulties you are experiencing.
