About me and my therapy practice
“The meeting of two personalities is like the contact of two chemical substances: if there is any reaction, both are transformed.” – Carl Jung
As a Trauma Counsellor graduating from the Metanoia Institute London,I pride my practice on a reflective and reflexive relationship with my clients. Merging almost two decades of experience in various safeguarding capacities within the Local Authority (including provision of numerous psycho-educational programs, creating bespoke safeguarding training and services to seldom reached groups) I am a believer of a client led intervention,”doing with” and not “to”.
I began my own transformation in 2005 and I gained viva with a Diploma in Integrative Counselling. This paved the journey to support supervises and clients with complex issues,Whether present day or more deeper rooted presentation,I endeavour to provide the very best and ethical outcomes at all times in accordance with relevant guidelines.
Integrating relevant modes of therapeutic practice with my training expertise as a psychoeduaction facilitator for complex trauma, including parenting, domestic abuse and restorative group work, which enables clients and supervisees to become empowered and enlightened on topics such as attachment ,relationship issues, spiritual world view's,adverse childhood experience, bereavement, trauma, exploitation,Domestic and Honour-based harm and sexual abuse in a safe and ethical environment.
In addition to my role as an Independent Therapist and Clinical Supervisor, I am hugely privileged to be utilising my management skills as a Therapeutic Clinical Lead for Survivor space Oxfordshire ; I am a retired board of Trustee for Sundial,a practice lead for the centre of expertise in child sexual abuse, having published articles for Therapy Today and NOTA, whilst having the privilege of presenting CPD for BACP conference.
