About me and my therapy practice
Hello, my name is Jazz. A warm welcome.
I am a qualified Person-centred therapist and registered member of the BACP. I am London based and offer therapy, online and by telephone, nationwide.
At the heart of my practice is a strong belief in the positive nature of people and as humans we strive to do the best for ourselves despite the problems we face or the conditions we find ourselves in.
Whatever your struggle or concern, you will be treated with dignity, respect & acceptance. I trust you are best placed to know how you experience the world, what is best for you and, how you should live your life.
I can offer a safe, confidential space, free of judgement or advice, for you to explore your concerns & feelings with empathy & understanding.
In both, my personal & professional experience therapy can be a life changing process.
I offer short and long term therapy online and by telephone. I welcome young people, adults and trainee therapists.
I have previously worked in education as a qualified teacher for over 20 years.
In addition to English, I speak Panjabi and welcome working with intersectionality. I am familiar with the challenges and rewards of navigating multiple cultures.
I have extensive experience with bereavement counselling, having worked in a London NHS hospital Psychological Support Service.
Sessions take place weekly and last 50 minutes. Once we agree a day and time that suits you, each session will take place on the same day and at the same time each week.
My first session
If you are new to therapy, it can sometimes be difficult to know where to begin, what to expect or, to pinpoint any specific issues; please be reassured, we will figure out the way forward, together.
I offer a 30 minute telephone consultation prior to commencing therapy, free of charge. This is an opportunity to discuss your concerns to see if I am best placed to help you, to discuss any questions you may have and an opportunity for you to decide if you feel you would like work with me. There is no obligation to commit.
The first session includes introducing ourselves to one another where I will briefly outline what you can expect from me. I will strive to answer any questions you may have about the process and then it is over to you and what what brings you to therapy...
Please do not hesitate to contact me to discuss your needs. I look forward to hearing from you.
