The majority of my work is online via webcam but I can also offer phone sessions. I am based in Lancaster, UK. I usually offer day-time sessions during the working week from 10:00 am. Fees are on a sliding scale from £45 to £65. Please see my website for more information.
About me and my therapy practice
I’m Wendy (she/her) and I offer therapy sessions online in the UK to UK-based clients,
I am a qualified psychotherapeutic counsellor. I believe in our potential for growth. I think that sometimes we just need a little bit of outside help and counselling is a way in which I can support you to work with your concerns in a safe environment. There are many reasons why people come for counselling.
My counselling approach can be described as integrative. I initially trained in the person-centred approach, which believes in the potential of everyone and the possibility of growth given the right conditions. Since then I have continued to further my knowledge, which includes training in Jungian approaches, CBT techniques, expressive therapy, Mindfulness and Compassion.
This means that I can integrate a range of approaches into our sessions, depending on what is needed. Some people want to talk in order to work through their concerns and some people find it helpful to make use of mindfulness approaches to help develop more insight or more self-compassion.
I have a broad range of experience, working with a range of issues. From, for example, stress and anxiety, to issues around the meaning of life, to issues from childhood.
I offer therapy sessions online using video conferencing. Sessions are normally weekly for 50 minutes.
My approach is to be beside you and we will work together with whatever issues you choose to bring, offering respect and understanding. I have found this to be possible whether we are in the same room as each other or many miles away.
One of the advantages of working online is that we can be anywhere in the UK, however it is important that we are both in private spaces.
You can contact me by email to make an initial inquiry. Then, if you are interested in arranging sessions, we can have a brief chat by phone about what you would like to get from the sessions. We can discuss any questions you have and we will agree when and how sessions will take place. Please note that I will need contact details with a complete address, for safety reasons. I offer both short and longer term sessions.

My first session
During our first session we can discuss what you would like from therapy in more detail and I will ask some questions to gather some background information. We will also agree a working contract and begin working together.
