About me and my therapy practice
I have a PG Dip in Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT). In this approach the counsellor is viewed as an Emotion coach and I will work to help you become more aware of, accept and make sense of your emotional experience. I will aim to help you develop your emotional awareness, intelligence and understanding, so that you can deal with problems in a better way.
I practice person-centred and emotion-focused therapy and have experience working in many different areas including bereavement, anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress. I aim to form an open and genuine therapeutic relationship with you to offer guidance and support with whatever your needs are. I offer a non-judgemental and encouraging style to explore the concerns that bring you to seek counselling.
My first session
Finding the right counsellor is important but can seem difficult. Why choose me? I am approachable and down to earth and I will support you at your own pace in a relaxed and safe environment. I am a competent practitioner who will show a deep empathic understanding and warmth within the sessions, with a commitment to improving your situation.
