About me and my therapy practice
Are you feeling lost or stuck, at one of life’s many crossroads or facing a difficult decision? You may be feeling low, or anxious and unsure of yourself. Or perhaps you have lost touch with joy, gratitude or a sense of meaning in your life. Whatever it is, if you are looking at this profile you are probably feeling in need of some extra support right now.
I am an integrative counsellor, psychotherapist and therapeutic coach, working with adults from a therapy practice in Hackney, London E8.
Drawing on a range of different therapy modalities, which can be useful with different clients at different times depending on their needs, I aim to offer you a supportive, accepting, confidential space, free of judgement, from which I hope you will feel invited and safe to explore your myriad thoughts, feelings, behaviours and emotions.
Practice description
I work in an integrative, collaborative and relational way, using techniques from a range of counselling, psychotherapy and coaching approaches to make lasting changes in your inner and outer worlds, in other words emotional and behavioural change.
Sessions are client-led, meaning there is no set agenda, we will work on whatever you bring each week at a pace that feels right for you.
I will be alongside you as you explore your thoughts, feelings, patterns and relationships - whether past or present – and future hopes and dreams.
I am open to working with any material you want to bring that might help the process – memories, dreams, reflections, writing, photographs or other objects – whatever feels useful to you. We can be creative and experimental. I can also incorporate mindfulness, visualisation and breath work for relaxation and focusing.
I embrace and value diversity in all its forms, and have worked with a wide range of clients on a variety of issues, including anxiety, depression, relationships, loss, self-esteem, identity, illness and life transitions, as well as with goal setting and coaching.
I can offer short or long term counselling, depending on your goals.
My first session
Looking for a therapist can be daunting. How do you get it right? The best way is to try to meet a few and see what you think.
With this in mind, I offer a free 30-minute initial consultation, by phone or online. This is a chance for me to hear a bit about why you are seeking counselling at this time and what your goals are. It is also a chance for you to ask me about my practice, and for us to see if we feel we could be a good fit to work together.
If we decide to work together the first session will be spent exploring in more detail what brings you to therapy at this time, and what you hope to get from the process.
I look forward to hearing from you.
