My practice is open.Video-call and telephone sessions are available during Covid19. Some sessions are currently at the concessionary rate of £70 per session. No face-to-face sessions are currently on offer until further notice.
Sessions are on a weekly basis on Monday to Thursday between 3pm and 9pm. Daytime sessions before 5pm are currently available only. Some flexibility is available, so please do enquire.

Professional, Effective and Confidential Psychotherapy & Counselling
If you've come to this page, maybe you're struggling with a problem that's hard to deal with? Perhaps you're feeling alone with your worries but don't want to 'burden' people in your life with what's bothering you? Or maybe there's a specific issue causing difficulties for you, or, a general feeling of unhappiness, depression or desire for change that feels unclear?
I have successfully gained 20 years' experience of both leading and working within psychotherapy services, including consultation work for an award winning psychotherapy service, NHS psychiatric and psychological services, the voluntary and private sector.
I offer confidential, effective, and non-judgemental therapy, giving you the opportunity to get things off your chest, increase your awareness about yourself and your relationships, learn effective new coping skills, and, support you to make lasting change to ultimately help you feel better.
I offer therapies for a number of issues including:
- Depression of general unhappiness
- Bereavement or loss
- Feeling stuck, isolated or lonely
- Poor assertion
- Stress (including burnout prevention & recovery)
- Workplace issues
- Relationship issues
- Issues around culture and ethnicity

I offer weekly short and long-term psychotherapy and counselling sessions. I primarily offer Existential psychotherapy, a philosophically informed approach to psychotherapy and counselling that it is less concerned with pathologising you, and more interested in helping to shed light on your experiences of the problems you are facing in your life. It can help you to establish what you want for yourself, helping you to overcome barriers in achieving your aspirations.
I also offer Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), an active approach helping to increase your awareness of your personal thinking patterns and how your thinking impacts your feelings, physical sensations and behaviour. E.g, perhaps you may find yourself overthinking thing, feeling like you can't switch off from thinking about things, worrying thoughts about what will happen in future, or generally thinking negatively. CBT can help you to alter unhelpful thinking patterns, make sense of overwhelming feelings and in turn, positively impact how you behave. It can help you to feel more in control and can be offered for a variety of problems.
I am committed to equality and diversity and work with clients from all walks of life. I have successfully completed training in working with clients needing a British Sign Language (BSL) or mother tongue language interpreter.

My first session
My usual process is to have 10-15 minute initial confidential informal chat with you free of charge, where I call you. This is to give you a chance to get a sense of me and how I work, as well as to ask any questions you'd like to, as well as giving me an opportunity to get a sense of what you'd like help with.
After this, if you choose, you may like to come along to an initial assessment appointment where we discuss a little more in depth what the issues are, whether and how we would work together and what you'd like to get out of the therapy for yourself.
