About me and my therapy practice

My practice is based on a Person-centred experiential model, which focuses on you as the expert on your own unique human experience. You may be feeling overwhelmed, stressed, anxious, depressed, traumatised or grieving the loss of a loved one. Whatever the problem may be that is having a negative effect on your feelings and the way you are living your life; I aim to provide a safe space and guidance for you to explore your process and emotions, to promote your self-empowerment.

Following 30 years of working with individuals and families as a Nurse and Midwife in the NHS, I wanted to explore the power of empathy within a trusting relationship. Along with my own life experiences, person-centred experiential counselling provided me with the foundations I needed to help support my clients towards positive change and personal growth. I feel I have developed my own self-awareness and intuition that helps me to be present and truly honour the uniqueness of the individual, by listening and empathising with my client’s sense of self. Also, connecting with my own sense of what my client is feeling in the moment.

Throughout the Covid-19 Pandemic I have been working as a Counsellor within my Private Practice, the NHS, Health & Social Care, supporting clients, including  NHS, Care Home staff and GP referrals. I have provided a counselling service via online, telephone and face to face. If you have been affected by the Covid-19 Pandemic in any way, I would like to offer you support through your recovery experience towards positive change.

If you feel you need help and support with anything that is affecting your mental well being and preventing you from being your true self, I can help support you through your process.
