About me and my therapy practice
I am an experienced BACP registered counsellor. I am working online with Zoom and also telephone counselling. All my work is with individual clients aged 18 years and over.
My work includes overcoming abuse, building self-confidence and self-esteem, living with cancer and general counselling.
if you want to find out more, then you can contact me via email or phone to set up an initial session when you can talk about what you want to get out of counselling and also decide if I am offering what you are looking for. if you are happy to continue then we can set up a second session and arrange the details.
I offer you some personal time where you can focus on your needs and think about potential solutions to whatever it is you are finding difficult to manage.
i have a standard fee, but I am also very happy to discuss and adjust this in the light of individual circumstances.

I qualified as a Person-Centred counsellor in 2013 and I am also trained to use Person-Centred creative skills as a practitioner member of APCCA (apcca.org.uk). Sometimes it seems hard to put thoughts and feelings into words, such as why you are feeling particularly anxious or depressed; it might seem hard to know how to begin, so I can offer this as an alternative way of working, if you want to. It is a gentle but powerful way to start exploring underlying issues.
I have worked with survivors of sexual and domestic abuse, with those suffering bereavement or loss, those living with a serious medical condition and with clients whose family relationships are strained or broken.
Often, my clients say they don’t know where to start, and feel disheartened because they can’t see a way through, however they want to make changes because being so stuck is making them unhappy.
Within a safe listening relationship you will get the opportunity to experience acceptance, respect and support, which can restore confidence, open your perspective and re-balance your ideas about who you are.
My first session
During my first session, I will ask for some personal details and listen while you outline what has brought you to me. You probably know what you are looking for as regards a therapist and will need to ask me questions too. It is a time for you to weigh up whether to embark upon therapy with me. We can also talk about fees, and how often you want a session, so therefore the first session is free.
