About me and my therapy practice
Are you currently facing a stressful or upsetting situation? Perhaps you are at a crossroads in your life, or you feel that now is the right time to get help with something that has been concerning you for some time. The Covid-19 pandemic may be causing you anxiety or making other issues in your life more difficult to cope with. Whatever has brought you here, deciding to seek help is a significant first step.
I’m an Integrative Relational Counsellor in Kingston upon Thames, Surrey. I aim to provide a calm, supportive and confidential space in which you can talk about whatever is troubling you.
Together we can explore your experiences and feelings so that you can gain a better understanding of yourself and see things from a new perspective. This can help you to make choices about your life, and to find new ways to cope with difficulties.
The safety and wellbeing of my clients is important to me, so during the Covid-19 pandemic I am seeing clients online via Zoom or by telephone.
You may be wondering what it's like to have counselling online, and whether it would be suitable for you. Counselling sessions using Zoom means that we can see and hear each other, and is therefore most similar to face to face counselling. We will be able to use non-verbal as well as verbal communication as you will be able to see my facial expressions and body language, and I will be able to see yours. This option does rely on both of us having a good internet connection and having the zoom software downloaded either on a computer, laptop, tablet or mobile phone.
If Zoom isn't a good option for you for whatever reason then telephone counselling is an alternative option.
I understand that many people are unsure about online counselling, therefore I am offering the initial consultation session online for a reduced fee of £40 so that you can try it out and see if you feel comfortable.
My first session
During the initial consultation session you can tell me about what has brought you to counselling and ask any questions you might have, and I will give you some information about how I work. You can then decide if you feel comfortable working with me and I can assess whether I am able to offer you the help that you need. At the end of the session if you decide that you would like to work with me then we can agree a regular weekly time for your sessions.
