About me and my therapy practice
Do you feel you can't trust yourself? Perhaps you judge and criticise yourself, and this leaves you feeling anxious and alone. It can be challenging to balance your own wants and needs with the expectations and demands of work, family and society in general. Perhaps you worry about what other people think of you and find it hard to relax and be yourself. Maybe you're anxious to please others and find it hard to be true to yourself. It’s difficult to feel close to other people and feel satisfaction in life when you're struggling with these issues.
I can help you explore what’s troubling you by offering you a calm, confidential and non-judgemental space to talk about your current situation, and the experiences and events that have brought you to this point. This can help you to understand yourself better, and feel more peace and enjoyment in your relationships and everyday life.
Practice description
I work with individual adults (age 18+) on a weekly basis - sessions will be on the same day and time each week. I work face to face at my practice in Worcester Park, and also online.
I’m an integrative counsellor, which means I can draw on a number of therapeutic approaches including person centred and psychodynamic. I have experience of working with a range of issues including anxiety, depression, self-criticism, low self-worth, relationship difficulties, loss, and life changes.
I understand how daunting it can feel to start therapy, and how important it is to find the right therapist. I offer a free 15-minute telephone consultation so that you can get a sense of whether I might be the right therapist for you. Please get in touch by phone, text or email and I will respond to you within 48 hours.
My first session
In the initial consultation session I'll ask you to tell me about yourself and the issues that have brought you to counselling, and you can ask any questions you might have about working with me. At the end of the session if you decide that you would like to continue into counselling with me then we can agree a regular weekly time for your sessions.
