About me and my therapy practice
Looking to make a real change? I offer a friendly, welcoming and safe environment in which to explore your concerns, identify their root causes, evolve your sense of self-worth and gain a greater sense of self-understanding. I can help you view your life through a different lens and strengthen your ability to develop resilience when dealing with difficult or challenging circumstances.
My counselling rooms are in Farnham, Surrey and are easy to find, with nearby parking facilities and links to public transport. I also offer counselling sessions via Zoom, WhatsApp and telephone.
Specialist areas include anger management, anxiety, ASD challenges, bereavement and loss, depression, LGBTQ+ issues, loneliness, low self-esteem, relationship problems including divorce and separation, stress, suicidal thoughts and work-related concerns including conflict, redundancy and career changes.
Experience: I have many years of counselling experience, gained through private practice and voluntary counselling at Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice in Surrey and Bridge Counselling Services in Essex. In addition to my private practice, I provide counselling sessions for NHS patients through the IAPT Service (via The Eaves in partnership with NHS Surrey and Borders Trust). I also work as an external Specialist Mentor delivering support to university students with a broad spectrum of mental health issues. I am a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP) and adhere to their Ethical Framework for Good Practice.
Approach: As an integrative therapist, I draw upon a range of therapies, including ‘person-centred’, ‘psychodynamic’ and ‘cognitive behavioural therapy’ (CBT) and tailor them to meet your individual needs. I can provide short-term, long-term and time-limited therapy and I work with individuals aged 18 to 80+.
