About me and my therapy practice
I will commit to working with you to develop a trusting and honest relationship.
I will help you to explore the issues that have brought you here and in doing so I hope that you will find ways to ease the distress you are feeling.
Counselling is different for everyone but it can help you understand and accept yourself in ways that are new. Looking at your self in this way often leads to change.
I try to work with honesty and respect for you as a person, building a relationship of trust, so that you can feel safe to disclose whatever you need to without fear of being judged,
I am an experienced person centred counsellor. I hold a PG Diploma in Counselling & Psychotherapy from Strathclyde University and have a background in nursing.
I believe that you are the expert on your own life. I will not analyse you but will work with you to create a relationship which is trusting and safe enough for us to work together.
I work with many issues but particularly with: stress and anxiety; depression; relationships; bereavement; loss; self harm; difference and disability.
