About me and my therapy practice
Find a Voice Counselling & Psychothotherapy
Welcome, I am a qualified BACP registered Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist. I offer Humanistic, psychodynamic, creative and cognitive behavioural therapy. We are all diverse human beings and completely individual in our needs and our preferences therefor each session is led by the individual needs of my clients. Talking about our feelings and emotions can be hard and taking the first steps in to therapy is possibly the hardest part of the journey.
I have worked within Domestic Abuse and Trauma Recovery Support since 2003 and understand how the effects of Trauma/Abuse can feel permanent and dis-empowering. I offer a safe and ethical way of working therapeutically through your experiences, helping you to discover an understanding of your own inner strengths and "Find a voice..."
I believe the therapeutic alliance between client and counsellor is a powerful tool and offer to walk with you at your own pace, on your own journey. Whether you are returning to therapy or coming for the first time, I welcome you into a safe and confidential space.
Talking about our feelings and emotions can be hard and taking the first steps into therapy is possibly the hardest part of the journey.
Sharing our innermost feelings can make us feel vulnerable and yet it is talking about and validating these feelings and experiences that can be the healing part of our journey through to well-being and acceptance.
When feelings, emotions and experiences become overwhelming, we can lose our voice and surrender to the isolation of suppressed emotions which can create angst and insecurities, making everyday life incredibly difficult.
I have an understanding personally and professionally of how trauma in any form, or adverse childhood experiences can affect our mental health and well being and also our relationships with others and perhaps more importantly ourselves.
Whether you are returning to therapy or coming for the first time, I welcome you into a safe confidential space.
