About me and my therapy practice

I am an MBACP (Accred) fully qualified and experienced counsellor who can offer therapy that is individually tailored to your particular needs. I use an integrative approach to my work with clients and have experience of working with people of all ages and backgrounds.

If you are feeling that there are things in your life that are causing you to feel unhappy or worried, I am here to help. Through counselling, I can help you to explore what you're going through so that you can make better sense of your feelings. Together we can focus on whatever you feel the need to work on in your life, which can enable you to gain better insight and understanding of your experiences.

I'm an AXA recognised/ registered therapist and able to take on referrals through them.

I have a BSc in Psychology, a Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling and further training in Solution Focused Brief Therapy and Play Therapy (for children and young people). I also have training in Couples and Family Therapy. My wide range of experience includes working in different settings:

- Counselling services in the voluntary sector, specifically working with women survivors of domestic and sexual abuse.

- Counselling Services in the public sector (NHS), working in a Sexual Health Clinic with LGBTQ clients and people with sexual health problems.

- Counselling for children and young people in schools and for charity organisations.

- Working therapeutically with couples and families.

I abide by the BACP Code of Practice and work within their Ethical Framework, which means that any information you disclose will be treated confidentially.

When you contact me, I will return your call/email within 24 hours for a free initial assessment over the phone.
