About me and my therapy practice

My name is Tracy but I’m usually known by my nickname Track. The focus of my practice is on developing self-awareness and growth within a wholly accepting and non-judgemental environment; for me therapy is all about connection and trust. By providing a safe, confidential and calm space (currently virtually!) away from the busy engagement of our lives, thoughts and feelings can be explored, examined and where necessary challenged. I work in a creative way built on my life experience as an artist as well as my work as a specialist speech and language therapist and psychotherapeutic counsellor.

Practice description

I have 12 years’ experience of working with young people and adults including neuro-diverse clients (Autism Spectrum conditions, ADHD etc). I have also supported people with stammers, OCD, Bi-polar and generalised social anxiety. Having trained and practised as a speech and language therapist, I now focus on humanistic psychotherapeutic counselling because it is my passion to support individuals in broadening their unique way of being in the world. I have particular experience of working with: social anxiety, compulsions, bereavement (Cruse trained) and life changing events such as divorce, menopause, miscarriage and disenfranchised loss.

My first session

I always offer a 15/20 minute free chat, usually via Zoom, so we can find out a little about each other. If you feel comfortable to start working with me we will then agree a day and time and I will send you a contract to sign prior to your first session.
