About me and my therapy practice
Whatever your concerns, issues or struggles there is a way forward for you, which we can discover together.
All thoughts, feelings and behaviours impact each other, and can be affected by the past, present and/or the impending future. You may or may not be clear about where you would like to start, the direction you would like to go in or the goals you would like to set.
You are a unique individual and together we can explore and identify the key issues for you, and develop strategies for change, at a pace that is right for you. We will start where you are and see where that takes us.
We may work with the here and now in a goal focussed way, or we may reflect on the past and what has brought you to this point. You may want to look to the future and plan a way forward.
You may be comfortable talking but if not you may find it helpful to write some things down, or even to draw pictures. We can be as creative as you are comfortable with being. I also offer Brainspotting which can be helpful for healing from trauma.
Each session is 60 mins, the number of sessions is different for each person. The days can vary to suit your commitments so can be agreed at each session, and you can choose to stop at any time, or come back after a break, whatever suits you.
I work with adults 18yrs to 80+yrs.
I have extensive experience over 15 years working with individuals to improve their emotional, psychological and spiritual well-being. I have worked with NHS workers, university students, military personnel and partners, and individuals form varied cultures, faiths, social and economic backgrounds who have learned to understand how their minds and bodies are impacted by life experiences.

My first session
When you commit to counselling, you are choosing to give yourself something of value.
Our first session is a short informal assessment to decide if we are the appropriate fit to work together. (Zoom or telephone)
