About me and my therapy practice
Making the decision to access counselling is not always easy.
I can assist and support you with therapy that will meet your individual need. If you are dealing with traumas and barriers either from the past or present, I can provide a safe and confidential environment for you to share your thoughts and emotions. I will listen and support you to acquire a personal sense of change, growth and well-being.
My practice is inclusive and I currently work with people from a diverse range of backgrounds. I acknowledge that each individual is unique. I will focus on whatever you choose to share within the counselling session.
The therapeutic approach I use in my practice is person-centred. I also use cognitive behaviour therapy if the situation requires that approach. I have a teaching background and I have worked extensively with Healthy Minds and CAHMS to support the well-being of adults and children. I will always listen and engage with you in a non-judgemental manner.
Sessions are 50 minutes with concessionary rates for students.
My first session
The first session includes an assessment and a short therapy session. The aim is to establish what you would like to gain from therapy. It should also give you the opportunity to reflect on whether you wish to continue with counselling.
