About me and my therapy practice
Hello! My name is Anthony Davis. I am an integrative counsellor, psychotherapist and coach. I provide therapy and coaching online and face to face in Central London.
I have 13 years’ experience working in the fields of mental health, social care and charity sector with individuals of various age groups and diverse backgrounds.
As individuals, we all have different needs when looking for therapeutic or coaching support. I believe you should be at the centre of this process and I can help you manage an array of challenges you may have. All of us have the potential for personal change, growth and development and my goal is to help you develop the coping skills necessary to manage life’s difficulties, whilst also guiding you to access pertinent support networks and resources necessary to sustain overall well-being.
Counselling and Psychotherapy:
I work with adults and couples offering short-term counselling and long-term psychotherapy in an effort to facilitate growth, enable change and foster healing of the entire person. The approach to my practice is integrative which allows me to draw from various therapeutic modalities to tailor therapy to your individual and unique needs.
I also specialise in working with the LGBTQIA+ community, particularly those struggling with their gender identity and/or sexuality. Furthermore, I work extensive with Black and Minority Ethnic clients and have supported individuals who experienced racial/ethnic discrimination.
Coaching and Personal Consultancy:
I further provide coaching and integrated counselling and coaching (personal consultancy).
Coaching is a dynamic and self-generating process in which we work together to help you improve behaviours, performance, and enact positive change.
Personal Consultancy is a framework that integrates counselling and coaching approaches. This framework can support you to explore and re-balance your thinking, feelings, or habits to enable you to have a stronger foundation for change.
I provide short and long-term counselling and coaching in an effort to facilitate growth, enable change and foster healing of the entire person. Work with my clients varies in scope and time-frame from just a few sessions focusing on a specific concern or concerns, to 'deeper' and more far-reaching therapeutic work which can last a year or more.
My sessions are usually covered by major health insurance providers: AXA Health, Aviva and WPA.
Payment can be made with cash or bank transfer (bank transfer only for online sessions).
No charge is made for sessions changed or cancelled with more than 48 hours' notice. The full fee of the session is charged for any cancellations made with less than 48 hours' notice.
My first session
Face to face Therapy and Coaching:
The first step is to get in contact. This can be done via telephone, email or the contact form on my website. Getting in contact gives you the opportunity to ask any questions about how I practice and clarify any concerns you might have in regards to pursuing therapy or coaching. The initial contact also gives the opportunity to arrange an initial session to assess your needs for therapy or coaching.
The second step is an initial session. This is a 50-60 minute session and is a chance for us to meet, speak about what has brought you for therapy or coaching and to decide if you want to continue working together. There is no obligation to return if you decide that the service is not for you.
If you decide to continue, then a weekly time will be arranged to fit with your availability. The number of sessions is flexible around your needs.
Online Therapy and Coaching:
Online therapy or coaching allows you to receive support from the comfort of your own home. This service is ideal for anyone who is not able to have therapy or coaching in person frequently, or who has a hectic lifestyle and needs a flexible approach to therapy or coaching.
