About me and my therapy practice
I adopted an integrative approach in my practice, mainly humanistic, trauma-informed and somatic approaches.
The humanistic approach emphasizes the value and personal worth of an individual. It is my passion to bring out the best in an individual despite difficulties and pain.
However, traumas (especially adverse childhood trauma) affect not only our mental health but also affects our functioning and interpersonal relationships.
I have a qualified Somatic Experiencing Practitioner. I have also completed Bodynamic Foundation Training. These somatic approaches help to alleviate our pain, even in cases when one cannot speak or describe what s/he had been going through.
I have been a counsellor/psychotherapist for over 10 years. I worked with all age groups since the beginning of my career. Now I focused more on adults. I would look into the pressing issues with my clients, as well as the underlying causes/roots behind issues. I listen carefully to my clients, helping them to know, understand and accept themselves more. I will also let them know what I think and how I feel. Most importantly, I aim to help my clients to have the capacity to regulate themselves and enjoy their lives despite all the hardships.
