About me and my therapy practice
Are you are looking for a Counsellor to help you manage some difficulties, experiences and feelings that are hard to manage, or perhaps understand? Does something need to change?
I help clients who come to counselling for many different reasons, including those with feelings of anxiety, worry, depression, sadness, stress, or uncertainty. These may be related to their past, present, or future.
I help clients living with loss or trauma and with those in difficult relationships or situations. Some face competing demands or difficult decisions. There may be struggles with identity and belonging, health concerns or significant life changes.
My counselling approach is based on psychodynamic theory, which helps us understand how early experiences affect us and how they may be linked to present concerns. Through our therapeutic relationship, I work with clients to understand and manage their feelings and difficulties for improved well-being. Change is possible.
Practice descriptionI am an experienced Psychodynamic Counsellor, qualified to Post Graduate Advanced Diploma Level, and Registered and Accredited with the BACP and adhere to their code of Ethics. In addition to my private practice, I work in an organisation as a Counsellor to clients referred by the NHS and other services.
I am currently offering weekly counselling sessions via Zoom or telephone and will resume offering in-person sessions as guidelines related to Covid-19 allow. In-person sessions are held in a dedicated counselling room in Stotfold, Bedfordshire.
My first session
If you would like to book an initial counselling session, please send me a message. I offer a free, no obligation 15-minute telephone call or we can correspond via email should you wish to find out a bit more before committing to an initial session.
During your initial counselling session, we can think about your reasons for counselling, some of your life experiences, and what you hope to gain from counselling. If we agree to continue working together, we will arrange a regular day and time for your sessions. If you have irregular work patterns/availability, we can consider alternatives.
