About me and my therapy practice
I have been seeing both adults and young people for the past twenty years at my private practise.
Being really listened to and heard by a non-judgemental, caring therapist can help sustain you through difficult times. With this support new insights can be gained. This can be the start towards building new strength and finding ways towards solving past or present issues that could help you towards living a satisfying healthy life.
In addition to being a qualified Counsellor, I am also trained in the use of Integrative Arts Psychotherapy (for example using the sand-tray, drawing and drama role play as a way into the therapy). This can make it easier to express oneself if, quite understandably, you find it difficult to initially talk about your problems.
In addition to my private counselling practice, I have worked in education as a School Counsellor, in the National Health Sector, Child Residential Care Homes and a Mind Mental Health Day Centre as a group facilitator.
I have also taught on various counsellor training courses.

All sessions take place in a private, purpose-built therapy room, with easy parking on sight.
All sessions take place in a purpose built log cabin situated in a private tranquil location which allows total privacy for your session to take place.
Travel details: By car: There is free private secure parking immediately outside the building.
By Train: To Gordon Hill over ground station then a ten minute walk or drive down a country lane. or by underground on the Piccadilly line, then a short bus ride followed by a ten minute walk down a country.
My first session
Your first appointment which will last for an hour this will provide you with all the information you might need to decide whether or not counselling could be right for you. Also if I could be the right therapist for you to engage with. You can decide at the end of the first session or let me know in your own time.
If you decide that you would like sessions with me, a weekly appointment can be set up. Once this has been agreed your session day and time would remain the same each week until you want to end your sessions or this time is no longer suitable for you. In which case I would try to re schedule your sessions to another more suitable time. If you would like to get in touch to arrange an Initial appointment, I would be happy to hear from you.
