About me and my therapy practice
I have experience working with a wide variety of people, seeking to alleviate/manage issues such as anxiety (including health anxiety), depression, self-esteem and confidence issues, anger/emotional regulation and alcohol. I also work with people who have a general sense of dissatisfaction with life, and through CBT we create a preferable path for their future.
I have benefitted from therapy in terms of anger and my direction in life, so I know that figuring out and becoming the person you want to be can be challenging but is possible. I can help you achieve this goal yourself, gaining direction, self-sufficiency, resilience, and emotional regulation.
By understanding yourself in terms of thoughts, feelings, and behaviours, you can consider change, and create your own action plan on how you can live your life better, in the way you want to. You may want to challenge your anxieties, develop new habits, change your outlook, regulate your emotions, or improve your relationships.
Before retraining I worked in large billion pound multinationals for 15 years so I have an insight into workplace stresses, and how these can impact our personal lives. I also understand the pressures of feeling unsatisfied by work, and yet not having a direction to follow towards happiness.
I use CBT and ACT in order to help you understand yourself, your goals, and your current situation. From this start point we can create a path for you to follow towards your end goal.
The structure of our sessions together will always aim to generate actions, designed by you that will help you to travel further along this path, in an authentic, genuine way.
My first session
Our first session will aim to help you set your goals, understand how we can work together, as well as starting to build on your self awareness, resilience and early-stage actions towards greater self sufficiency in terms of your direction towards your desired life.
