About me and my therapy practice
I am an Integrative Psychotherapist committed to creating a safe, steady presence and a supportive environment, offering the space to explore any area of life you might be struggling with. My style of therapy is relational, and our relationship is central to the work. I will often welcome you to share your thoughts on our sessions and how you feel we are working together. My clinical experience includes work in the NHS, low-cost therapy centres and private practice.
We are all unique in our life experiences and cultural contexts. Therefore, I practice integratively drawing on a range of theories, allowing me to work flexibly according to your specific needs. I am particularly interested in Existential Therapy, which asks us to consider the personal meaning we attribute to our lives, helping us to live with more agency. The work may involve exploring an individual's earlier experiences and relationships, considering how they may impact present relationships. Together we can work towards exploring issues that might be causing you distress, uncovering patterns of behaviour and coping strategies that may no longer be serving you.
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)
Completed Training:
MA in Psychotherapy & Counselling: Regent’s University
Foundation Certificate in Psychotherapy & Counselling: Regent’s University
Practice description
We will begin with a single 50-minute assessment session. This offers you the opportunity to discuss your reasons for coming, the outcome you seek, and assess whether you would like to work together. Should you wish to proceed we would then contract to see each other on a weekly basis at the same time each week. Sessions take place either online or from my practice rooms in either Shoreditch or Fitzrovia. This will be a safe and confidential space where you will not be disturbed and your privacy is maintained.
As an integrative therapist I draw on a wide range of theories catering to the individual who sits in front of me. However, the most essential element to getting something out of therapy is the relationship you build with your therapist, honesty, warmth, and some challenges. Building trust is vital for you to feel seen, heard and understood so that change can occur.
