About me and my therapy practice

The turbulent journey of life can often be overwhelming. You may be going through challenging times which may give rise to difficult feelings, anxiety, depression, low mood and loss of self esteem. All this feels so much harder when you are going through this on your own. If this is familiar to you, counselling may be an option.

Hi, I'm Saiyeda.

I am an integrative relational counsellor which means I am trained in several counselling modalities, each of which offer insights and explanations into human behaviour. Therefore, my approach to counselling will be tailored to meet your particular needs and circumstances. I encourage reflection and self exploration which will help you identify which factors in your life are perpetuating problems and will help you arrive at your own solutions. You may learn to identify patterns in your relationships which may be detrimental to your well being and we will work together in how to address these.

As an integrative relational counsellor, I am fully integrated in the relationship with my clients and believe the relationship has the power to heal.

I will provide you with a warm, accepting and confidential space, free from judgment to explore and improve your emotional well being. I am sensitive to cultural contexts and will always try and see the world through your lens.

My experience working in NHS settings as well as the Royal Borough of Kingston and the Kingston Women's Centre has resulted in a diverse client group of both younger and older adults, from a variety of backgrounds and with numerous different presenting issues.

Practice description

My goal is to make counselling accessible and affordable and to be as inclusive of all social and cultural backgrounds. I offer some limited concessionary slots so please contact me for further details around cost and availability. I am here to meet you where you are; to support you in your experiences, your feelings, your frame of reference.

I offer both short term (6-12 weeks) and long term courses of therapy. I am conducting sessions both online and face to face. I am based in New Malden, Surrey.

Alongside my private practice, I am currently supporting female survivors of abuse and violence at Women and Girls Network.

I am registered with the BACP and adhere to the BACP ethical framework for good practice.  I am committed to providing counselling in a safe and confidential environment.

My first session

** I offer an assessment session at a reduced rate **

Our first session will enable us to see whether we are suited to work together.  You will have the opportunity to explain what brings you to counselling and whether I am the best counsellor to support you.  I can explain the  therapeutic process, address your questions and explore your expectations of counselling.
