My schedule is flexible as I work both as a therapist and in the emergency services. I can generally find times to suit my clients especially if they can do during the working day.
About me and my therapy practice
Hi, thank you so much for checking out my page. My name is Jonny.
I see my first role as a therapist is to provide you a place and space where you feel comfortable to discuss and talk about anything you want to. There will be no judgement from me!
I work using the Person Centred Model at my core. But I have done extra training in CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy, looking at thoughts, behaviours and patterns) and Existential therapy (talking about morality, purpose and meaning).
But therapy evolves to be so much more than that. We can, when you feel ready, look at how past events might be effecting you now. How you are relating to the people in the world around you. Any anxieties, low moods and how the world around you is impacting on you.
We can talk about death, mortality, sexuality, spirituality, family, nothing is off limits, in fact everything, is very much inside the limits!
My role is not to tell you what to do. My role is to walk alongside you. I am similar to Sam and you are Frodo! You always have to carry the ring! I am there with you on the journey you are no!
As a therapist I rely on well grounded theory and practice. At no point will I tell you your fate is in the stars, that there is some crystals that can help you or any other hocus pocus.
I work very much in and with reality. Sometimes reality can be painful, that's ok.

The Anxious Firefighter
I work exclusively online via zoom or WhatsApp. Since covid I no longer have the use of a therapy room but I find online gives great flexibility with no loss of the therapeutic process.
My first session
Our first session will be about getting to know each other. It can be daunting and I really understand that having been a client myself.
We will talk through how therapy works, the boundaries, the contract and what issues and goals you have.
At any time if you feel I am not the right person for you, I would want nothing more than you to say that, and we can decide whom might be a good fit for you.
However I hope very much that we could work well.
