About me and my therapy practice
I am a BACP Accredited counsellor and also hold a Diploma in counselling supervision. I have vast experience both within the NHS, GP surgeries, voluntary sectors and private practice.
At some point most of us are faced with difficulties. The process of confronting and solving these can be painful and bring strong emotions. It's understandable that we would want to avoid this pain.
Yet it is often exploring these very feelings and experiences that can free us from the burden that they bring, and in doing so we can come to a deeper understanding of ourselves and our lives.
I see my role as a therapist, in supporting and guiding you through this process, and offering you a confidential and safe space to explore areas of your life you choose to bring to therapy. I see the relationship between us as being central to the work that we do and a fundamental part of therapy.
As an Integrative therapist I can draw on a number of different counselling theories/approaches in order to best meet your needs. Some clients may feel it is of benefit to explore issues from their past, whilst others' may prefer to focus on the here and now. I am guided by what you, the client need, and what you are ready and willing to work with.

About me and my therapy practice
I have completed a Diploma in Integrative Supervision from the Northern Guild in Newcastle. I feel this multi-stranded approach allows me to supervise counsellors who come from different approaches, and who are also at different stages in their own professional development. I am also interested in working with counsellors who may wish to explore and integrate other strands into their practice, such as working creatively or with unconscious processes. I am also happy to offer telephone counselling supervision. I practice from a central location in Inverness on a Monday and a Wednesday. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you would like to discuss anything further. What I can help with
