About me and my therapy practice

I help people with all kinds of issues, ranging from occasional to life-long problems, mild or severe. Most often this is depression, anxiety, and relationship issues, but could be anything at all.

I specialise in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, helping you to explore and make links between past and present, to help you discover what might be going wrong, and enabling you to take back control of your life through a deeper understanding of yourself. I provide a non-judgemental, confidential space in which to work.

                                   -Psychodynamic Therapy-

Psychodynamic therapy is an exploration of the unconscious mind, and is more like a journey than a prescriptive tool. The sessions are semi-structured and led by you. The aim is to develop deeper self-insight and understanding, and by doing thing transform whatever you are struggling with into meaningful change.

This form of therapy is likely to provide benefit to those who are ready to make a commitment to themselves. Many people who have tried CBT and have found it hasn't worked for them, or wish to deepen their understanding after CBT, often do much better in psychodynamic therapy.

About me and my therapy practice

I am a fully qualified Psychodynamic Psychotherapist, practising for 5 years, with well over 1,500 clinical hours of experience.

I have experience working with everything from mild presentations to severe personality disorders, including long term and complex mental health needs, in both an NHS and private setting. I work using a TFP model of therapy in an NHS setting, and a more purely psychodynamic model in private practice.

I am able to supervise trainee or qualified psychodynamic therapists and counsellors, and integrative therapists who wish to develop their psychodynamic focus.

I am unable to supervise trainee or qualified psychoanalytic therapists, group therapists, couples therapists, or therapists from other modalities.

Please feel free to contact me to discuss your needs.
