About me and my therapy practice

Life can be challenging and there might be times when we find ourselves out of control, struggling to cope and in emotional pain. Therapy can help you to understand your feelings, thoughts and what you are experiencing in a non-judgemental and confidential space. Often behaviours or modes of being that have been useful in the past are no longer serving us well in our current lives. Therapy can be a space to foster awareness into what is keeping us stuck and through the re-examination of the roles we might be adopting in relation to ourselves and others, our choices and beliefs, a new perspective and understanding into ourselves and our difficulties can be reached.

I am a UKCP and BACP accredited psychotherapist, practising in both Oxfordshire and London. I have gained most of my experience working in a short term goal oriented way in primary care with people referred for anxiety and depression. I also work on a long term basis with clients coming with a large range of difficulties.

I have completed a Doctorate in Counselling Psychology and existential-phenomenological psychotherapy and I am awaiting the final viva for my thesis. I have trained in, psychodynamic approaches, CBT, integrative, but my main mode of practice is existential-phenomenological. I see the therapeutic relationship as the key for successful therapy and therefore I put great emphasis on the relational dynamics. It is therefore vital that you find a therapist that you feel comfortable with and able to engage with.  If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me.

This new understanding and awareness can increase our sense of freedom, with new choices and possibilities arising and a sense of clarity in how to move forward and live a more fulfilling life. More than anything I hope to provide a space in which you can truly be yourself, without a fear of judgement or expectations and demands being put upon you.

I am a UKCP and BACP accredited psychotherapist and I have completed a Doctorate in Counselling Psychology and existential-phenomenological psychotherapy, I am just awaiting my final viva on my thesis. The majority of my experience has been gained working as a Clinical Lead for EASE Wellbeing. This operates within primary care in London and Oxfordshire and implements a short term goal-orientated model for adults with anxiety and depression. I oversee the implementation of this intervention at GP practices and conduct all psychological assessments and client allocations and referrals. I supervise training clinicians and am involved in the development of the protocol. I have also experienced working in a longer term format within the charity Mind and with adolescents in secondary schools with the charity Place2Be.
