About me and my therapy practice

Based in Greenwich Park, it’s Good to Walk is a counselling and psychotherapy service that offers the opportunity to talk to your counsellor in a calming and neutral outdoor environment. The benefits of green space and exercise have been well-researched and the momentum of walking itself can contribute to a sense of progression. If circumstances arise where we can no longer meet in person (e.g. COVID-19 lockdown or self-isolation) it may be possible to continue our work together via Skype.

Practice description

The therapy I offer is integrative and primarily Person-centred, enabling me to draw on techniques and theory from other approaches such as Psychodynamic and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). The content and pace of our work together is always driven by you as the client. The therapy sessions are likely to take place outside in all weather conditions so suitable clothing is advisable. 

Everyone is different and there is no fixed number of sessions. We will work towards your goals for therapy and I will check-in with you regularly as to how we feel the work is progressing. At the point that one or both of us feel the therapy has run its course, we can discuss how to bring our sessions together to an end. As a BACP registered therapist I work within the BACP Ethical Framework, undertake regular supervision and have a commitment to continuous professional development.
