About me and my therapy practice

I can offer you a professional, safe, cared-for and confidential environment, which will support you in exploring the aspects of your life that are troubling you.

I am committed to ensuring you receive the therapy that suits your individual needs and therefore offer a free half hour introductory session.

People enter therapy for many reasons. Whatever your circumstances or the obstacles you face, having a confidential space where you are not judged, where it is safe for you to be totally ‘you’, will be key to assisting you in your journey to a life that feels happier and more content. Counselling, in a supportive and collaborative way should empower you and help you grow in self- awareness and resilience.

The foundation of my work is in Person Centred Counselling, which means you talk about whatever you feel comfortable with. You are the expert on you and we work together with what you feel is important.

However, because no two people are the same, we are all unique, I may blend other therapies to help you find your way and move forward. These include creative therapies; Inner Child work; TA; Gestalt; Psychodynamic and CBT techniques.

My diverse and varied counselling experience has equipped me to meet the differing needs of my clients, who include young children; adolescents; adults and the elderly.

I have undergone intensive, specialist training in working with men, woman and children who have suffered sexual abuse and the resulting traumas which they are left with. These can include P.T.S.D., self-harm, anxiety, depression, problems within relationships, self-harm and suicide.

I am also a qualified teacher with a specialism in Early Years and a registered counsellor with the Infant Loss Foundation.
