About me and my therapy practice
I am an Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist & a qualified trainer. I spent 12 years delivering counselling courses from introduction to counselling to advanced diploma level trainees.
I believe that every person is unique and needs to be seen and understood as an individual. Therefore, I adapt my way of working to suit the individual I am working with.
I am trained in using a range of modalities. My approach allows me to bring together different elements of therapeutic thinking to support you to move forward. Together, we will tailor a way of working that ensures you feel safe and comfortable whilst working towards your desired outcomes. At the heart of my work is the relationship between myself and you, my client. It is only by ensuring that you feel comfortable and safe in the therapeutic space that we can begin to work towards achieving your goals.
My first session
The initial assessment session is an opportunity to get to know each other. We can discuss what areas or issues you would like to work on and the ways in which I may be able to support you. At the end of the initial assessment, we can agree on whether (and how) you would like to continue our work. It is important that you feel that I am the right therapist for you.
